70 Bale Rotary Milking Shed

The project was a 70 bale rotary milking shed including 800 m2 of holding and drafting yards. The clients brief was simple, "design a functional, robust and easily maintained milking shed". LID incorporated dynamic features into the buildings functionality. Comprising of precast panels, raised concrete washable floors, vet, office, and store room, staff facilities including a shower/wc, exceptional ventilation and natural light and a site specific effluent management system. Provisions were made for a future robotic milking system.
